Dear parents,
It has been a pleasure to get to know your child this year. As many of you know, I am getting married this summer, so I will be moving to where my fiancé lives, Marquette. I will miss seeing your child in the halls next year, but I wish him/her well in his/her education at Gaylord Schools. It truly is a special place to learn and grow. I know he/she will benefit from the amazing 8th grade teachers. Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child this year. It has been joyful getting to know him/her through his/her writing and choice of PR books.
We are winding down, so our schedule this week is a little different than it usually is. I’m sure students will be disappointed that there are no RDWs this week J; instead, each student will be reflecting on his or her growth throughout the year. It is amazing and enjoyable to hear the comments the students make in regards to their growth as writings through their hard work during the school year.
Dates:
Monday: Poetry portfolios due
Tuesday: In-class growth reflection (this is not homework)
Thanks again for your support, and have a great week and a great summer!
Ms. Melissa Baldini
