Dear parents,
This week, we will be continuing to work on our suspenseful short stories. As we work in the computer lab, your child may want to continue his or her work at home, so having a flash drive would be helpful. Understanding how to e-mail documents to himself or herself would also be helpful.
Dates:
Thursday:
RDW #1—(AoW response—attached) After reading these opening lines, reflect on:
-which were your favorites? Why?
-what type of opening lines did you like the best?
-what type of opening do you think you will include in your story?
Highlight at least three compound sentences.
-marked-up AoW due
-evening conferences.
Friday: No school
-afternoon conferences.
I look forward to seeing many of you at parent-teacher conferences!
