Dear parents,
The first quarter has flown by! I enjoyed meeting many of your at conferences, and I’m looking forward to seeing growth in your students during this next quarter. We will be beginning a new book, Homeless Bird, and practicing expository writing. Because it is about a young woman in India, we will begin by comparing and contrasting education in the two countries.
Dates:
Tuesday--Veteran’s Day Assembly
Friday
RDW #1
RDW #2--Describe the rights you have as an American that a young person in another country may not have.
Include and highlight five complex sentences. We will be learning about complex sentences on Wednesday.
AoW
Instructions for the AoW and RDW#1 are on the attached handout.
Have a great week!
